Hello Pit readers! We’re delighted to tell you that Pit Issue 14: SANDWICHES, has gone to the printers! We are so proud of this issue, which has been stuffed with interesting sandwiches from some of our favourite contributors.

Tim Anderson defends the most controversial of sandwiches - the tuna melt (and he’s convincing) - we explore the sprawling significance of cucumber sandwiches, and delve into the sandwiches served at Hong Kong’s cha chaan tengs.

There are arayes in Nazareth, pigs’ ears in Mississippi and pie barms up North. We’ve trodden roads that are nostalgic, those that are tricky to navigate, and some which are downright filthy. In short, there’s something for everyone.

And don’t forget - by subscribing you’ll receive a frankly ridiculous £3 off the cover price!

Thank you for all your support over the past few years - we are so thrilled to be back in business, and we just know you’re going to love this issue as much as we do.

Until next time, sandwich fans!

Helen, Holly & Rob
