Hello Pit readers, and welcome to our new newsletter! You’ll notice things look a little different around here, and that’s because we’ve made the move to a new platform called Beehiiv. We did this mainly to get away from the filthy mitts of Mailchimp, which was completely unaffordable for a small business like ours. 

We are so happy to be making an issue for you RIGHT NOW, and can reveal that the next Pit will focus on the very important theme of… SANDWICHES. Yes. We’re very excited! 

However, we do need your help. We think that being honest with our readers is always the best approach, so here goes. The past year has been incredibly difficult for us - we were persuaded to try selling Pit in some stores overseas, and that didn’t work out. In fact, we’re not even sure they got there. Long story short: we lost all the money and therefore couldn’t make an issue. 

We’re still feeling the repercussions, so we’ve decided to sell our back issues at a ridiculously low price to gather as much cash as possible ahead of the bills that are coming our way. We love making a print magazine, and we think it’s important in this age of clickbait and diminished attention spans. But making a physical magazine comes with costs that digital publications don’t have to deal with, such as printing, storage, and distribution. 

And so, all available back issues are now on sale at HALF PRICE. They’ll never be cheaper than they are right now, and you’ll be hugely helping us out if you buy one, or more. Buy them for your friends, your family, and even your neighbours. Meanwhile, we’ll work on bringing you the best comeback issue we possibly can.
