After the rip-roaring success of Food in Print (if you didn’t know about this, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!), we went to the pub and, in traditional Pit fashion, had a few beers and decided on our next theme. We’ve had such a boost of energy towards our little magazine after the print fair that we couldn’t wait any longer. We are over the moon to announce our new issue theme: TV.
So, we are officially open to pitches from writers and photographers!
Please email us here, no DMs please.
We need your pitches on all things TV by Friday, May 1.
At Pit, we are big TV fans, and while Holly and Helen were munching on one of their monthly pizzas, they had their lightbulb moment. There are loads of ‘food in film’ issues, but TV, not so much. And with TV having a renaissance, it’s time to give food on the small screen its time in the spotlight.
We are talking TV chefs, food on TV, food in TV, food while watching TV, food because of TV, everything in between AND MORE. We like to be surprised, so we think outside the box (or on the box…). We do not want the obvious. Be as creative as you like.
We do not want restaurant reviews (although is there a restaurant on TV that needs a review?!) and we don’t want chef profiles, listicles, product reviews, or poetry. Please, don’t pitch about food in films - so much has been written about this already.
We’ve got a few planned commissions coming together behind the scenes, but we cannot wait to see what else is out there.
If you’re not a subscriber, then get on it to lock in the £6.50 price now.
Lots of love!
Helen, Rob and Holly xx
